The Guanica Amigos scored a tight 4-3 win versus the Gurabo Tainos at Parque de Guánica. Guanica pitcher Luis Piñeda held his own in the contest. The winner was Adelio Sigala in relief. His record improves to 17-7. Manuel Esteban took the loss. At 43-29, the Amigos are currently first in the Liga Hostos Suroeste.

Adelmo López, who is a two-time All-Star, won the game with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the tenth. In the contest, the Guanica pinch hitter drove in one run.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Piñeda. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
