Valerosos Pull Off Thrilling 6-4 Win in Extras
The Ciales Valerosos topped the Rio Grande Cotorras, 6-4, in Liga Betances action at Estadio de las Cotorras. The standout performance belonged to Ciales pitcher and San Juan, Puerto Rico, native Hernán Torres. Ramón Mejía converted his 2nd save in 2 tries. Rio Grande has now lost 8 consecutive games.

The Valerosos benefited from an error in the top of the third inning. Ciales was leading 2-0 when Armando Lucero hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Ciales in front, 4-0.

"We're our own worst enemy right now," said Rio Grande skipper Remigio Rodríguez.
