Macabeos Rally For 8-6 Win
The Carolina Gigantes got a superb performance from pitcher Abilio López. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Trujillo Alto. The Macabeos won the game, 8-6. López threw 13.2 innings of 10-hit ball. Peleo Barrios, the winning pitcher, improved to 9-10. He pitched 13.2 innings, giving up 15 hits and 6 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 5. José Jiménez locked down his 3rd save.

Paulino Sánchez drove in one run for Trujillo Alto. The three-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the top of the 14th. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Abilio López. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Sánchez.

Trujillo Alto raised its record to 30-28 with the win.
