Marcianos Snatch Late Win
|
The Lajas Marcianos topped the Hatillo Ganaderos, 3-2, in Liga Betances action at Terreno de los Ganaderos. The game was highlighted by the performance of Lajas pitcher Lisco Ravelo. Ravelo, now 12-6, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The first-place Marcianos now have a win-loss record of 36-20.
Lajas used a timely hit from Jumacao Malespín to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Marcianos ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"Good win for us," said Ravelo. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
