Rincon Ingenieros starter Nerón Jiménez was in fine form against the Trujillo Alto Macabeos at Campo de los Macabeos, leading his team to a win, 7-1. The Ingenieros are now 43-9, while the Macabeos fall to 26-27.

Rincon used a well-timed hit by Leovigildo Sánchez to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Ingenieros ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said Sánchez.
