Trujillo Alto took on Mayaguez in front of a lively crowd.

The Trujillo Alto Macabeos got a stellar performance from pitcher Peleo Barrios, who handcuffed the Mayaguez offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Parque de los Capitanes. The win gives Trujillo Alto a season record of 26-26.

Trujillo Alto used a timely hit from Nicanor Flores to get the win. The catcher stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Macabeos ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I was dog tired," said Barrios. "But I really wanted to finish the thing off."
