The Trujillo Alto Macabeos wiggled past the Carolina Gigantes, 6-5, at Campo de los Macabeos. The win was highlighted by the performance of Trujillo Alto pitcher Peleo Barrios. Barrios, now 7-8, was the winner. In 10 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 2, walking 4, and allowing 5 runs. Trujillo Alto is now 22-25.

The Macabeos relied on right fielder Abundio Escobedo for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Barrios said.
