The Rio Grande Cotorras scored a tight 2-1 win versus the Juncos Valencianos at Estadio de las Cotorras. Rio Grande pitcher Senén Pérez held his own in the contest. At 24-22, the Cotorras find themselves in second place in the Liga Betances El Yunque.

Rio Grande took a 2-1 lead on Martín Valle's 9th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Valle hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Juncos pitcher Abilio Corrales visibly frustrated.

"Runs were at a premium," said Rio Grande manager Remigio Rodríguez.
