The Juana Diaz Reyes did just enough to secure a victory over the Villalba Avancinos, 5-4, at Estadio de Villalba. Nobody did more than pitcher Herminio García. With the victory, the Reyes upped their record to 26-20.

It could have been a different outcome for Juana Diaz, had it not been for Pedro Sousa, the seven-time Defensor Acutísimo winner . Sousa contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Juana Diaz up, 3-0.

García said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
