Parque de los Capitanes was the site of quite a ballgame.

The Mayaguez Capitanes overcame a good performance by Rincon right fielder Demetrio Santana to knock off Rincon, 7-6, at Parque de los Capitanes. Santana went 2-4 with a triple and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win belongs to Manuel Martínez in relief. His record improves to 11-5. Petronio Álvarez took the loss for Rincon.

Mórsimo Rodríguez was the walk-off hero for Mayaguez. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Capitanes first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Rincon manager Cristóbal González. "The effort was great."

Mayaguez now owns a record of 28-17.
