Palomas Need Extra Frames to Get Past Lobos
The Cidra Palomas stopped the Arecibo Lobos, 6-5, at Parque de los Lobos. The Palomas got a big game from Orlando Méndez, who went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 3 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The save went to Anselmo Trujillo, number 5 for him. With the victory, the Palomas record now stands at 30-16.

Méndez had a game-changing double in the top of the tenth. On a 1-2 curveball from Teócrito Enríquez, he banged a run-scoring double to left-center, giving the Palomas a 6-5 lead. It was the 15th double of the year for Méndez.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Cidra manager Moisés Villa.
