Nance on Fire: 5-for-5 for Louisville
In a career performance, Louisville Colonels right fielder Kid Nance sparkled with the bat today at Eclipse Park II.

Powering his way to a 5-for-5 line at the plate, Nance led the Colonels to a 12-7 win over the Washington Senators. Nance was in high spirits in the clubhouse after the game, joking with reporters that the big game had left him "winded."

"Oh sure, 5 hits sounds great but think about how much more baserunning you have to do," he said with a smile. "Next time, I'm just going to take 5 walks."

Kid Nance hit a two-run home run off Ed Morris in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 8th.

This year Nance is batting .325 with 6 home runs and 45 RBIs.
