Eclipse Park II was the site for American League action featuring the Boston Reds and Louisville Colonels.

The Louisville Colonels picked up a win at Eclipse Park II, knocking off the Boston Reds, 4-2. On the mound for Louisville was right-hander Chris Paff, who played a pivotal role in the win. Paff went the distance for Louisville. He gave up 2 runs on 11 hits.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Paff delivered big-time for Louisville, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Toad Ramsey. The game-changing hit put the Colonels on top, 4-2.

Paff told a Louisville Bulletin reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The first-place Colonels are 43-21.
