The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cleveland Spiders, 14-12, at League Park I. Oyster Burns, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-5 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Milwaukee reliever Tom Sullivan was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Bert Parker took the loss. Kyle Duxbury earned the save for Milwaukee, his 4th.

Mike Lehane drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate for Milwaukee. The 32-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 12-12 tie with a run-scoring walk off Will Sawyer. It was his 3rd walk of the season.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Milwaukee skipper Jerry Barger.

The Brewers now own a record of 27-37.
