Brewers Pick Up 7-3 Win
The Milwaukee Brewers picked up a win at Congress Street Grounds, taking down the Boston Reds, 7-3. Starting pitcher Hank Gastright was a big reason why. In 9 innings, Gastright surrendered 11 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs. The 5th-place Brewers lifted their record to 22-28.

Milwaukee used the clutch hitting of Jack Crooks to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Brewers the lead, 6-2. For the game, Crooks had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"I was dog tired," said Gastright. "But I really wanted to finish the thing off."
