Brewers Fall to Spiders, 8-2
The Milwaukee Brewers and Cleveland Spiders were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Cleveland Spiders picked up a win at Athletic Field, taking down the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-2. Starting pitcher Sid Kitson was a big reason why. The victory puts Cleveland at 15-28.

Ed McKean had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the seventh for Cleveland. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Cleveland in front, 4-2.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Kitson. "Successful pitchers do it."
