The Washington Senators topped the Boston Reds, 9-3, in American League action at Congress Street Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Washington pitcher and The United States, native Pete Conway. The third-place Senators have a record of 23-16.

The Senators benefited from a costly error in the top of the first. With Shorty Fuller at bat and Washington leading 1-0, the Boston miscue allowed Washington to plate 2 and take the lead, 3-0.
