Lajas second baseman Menelao Pagán was sensational. He was 3-4 with 3 singles, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Cidra beat the Marcianos, 6-5. Luis Vásquez got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 5 runs on 13 hits in 9 innings. With the win, Cidra lifts its record to 6-0.

Cidra used the timely hitting of Pedro Mejía to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Palomas on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"That's a solid team effort right there," said Mejía. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
