Columbus Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Columbus Solons picked up a win at Recreation Park II, taking down the Baltimore Orioles, 4-3. Starting pitcher Larry McKeon was a big reason why. McKeon got the win, improving to 5-8. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 9 innings. McKeon allowed 3 runs. The Solons improve their record to 13-24 with the win over Baltimore.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Columbus trailing 3-2, Curt Welch hit a fastball from Les German to left for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Solons had a walk-off win.

"The most important thing is that we won," McKeon said.
