Conway Superb Against Columbus
Pete Conway dominated the Columbus Solons with a brilliant 5-hit shutout in a Washington Senators 2-0 triumph at Recreation Park II. The Washington hurler fanned 4 and walked 0 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager.

"He really kept us in check today," Solons skipper Fraley Rogers said in postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away. We took some pathetic swings."
