Milwaukee Brewers starter Frank Meinke was in fine form against the St. Louis Browns at Athletic Field, leading his team to a win, 5-4. Meinke went the distance for Milwaukee. He gave up 4 runs on 5 hits. The Brewers, now 11-2, have been on fire in the early going.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the tenth, an error by the Browns allowed the Brewers to score the winning run.

"Nothing fazes Frank," said Milwaukee manager Jerry Barger.
