Solons Take Down Reds, 8-4
The Columbus Solons defeated the Boston Reds, 8-4, at Recreation Park II today. Leading the charge for Columbus was third baseman Billy Nash. He was 4-4 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Reds, now 5-9, continue their inauspicious start.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Paul Radford was at the plate when Columbus scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Solons to go in front, 5-4.
