McCreery 6-for-6 Against Senators
After a 6-hit effort to lead Louisville's 16-11 victory over the Washington Senators, first baseman Tom McCreery told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Major League Baseball-level is really something special."

The 22-year-old player earned his accolades today at Boundary Field with a spectacular 6-for-6 game against the Senators.

"His swing is getting there," said Colonels skipper Pete Treacey, who spoke glowingly of McCreery after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Tom did that to perfection today."

Tom McCreery singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

McCreery currently has a .474 batting average with 18 hits, 1 homers, 6 RBIs, 9 runs scored and a .487 OBP.
