Ingenieros Cruise to Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño with Sweep
It's a sweet sweep for the Rincon Ingenieros and they have won the Campeonato de las Ligas. The Vieques Esqueletos were not able to keep pace with the Ingenieros and dropped the series in short order, losing 10-6 in the deciding game.

"This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Vieques manager Teófilo García.

It's now on to the Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño for Rincon after their 4-0 series win.

Leading the way for the winners was second baseman Pablo Brito, who was named MVP. For the series, Brito hit .647 with a .727 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Rincon Ingenieros don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Hatillo Ganaderos - Aguada Arzobispos series. Hatillo leads the series 3 games to 2. The Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño schedule will be announced after the Campeonato de las Ligas finishes.
