The Fajardo Cariduros overcame a good performance by Culebra right fielder Próspero González to knock off Culebra, 6-5, at Estadio de los Cariduros. González went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Cariduros go to 17-12, putting them first in the Liga Hostos Archipiélago.

The Cariduros procured the win, in large part because of pitcher Astolfo Orozco. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Fajardo field general Enrique Machado.
