Privateers Deal Trifluviens 9-4 Defeat
With third baseman Declan Hamilton leading the charge, the Sherbrooke Privateers defeated the Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens, 9-4, at Privateers Park. Hamilton was 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Jim Schurman. He went 9 innings, allowing 4 runs on 10 hits. The right--hander struck out 2 and walked 3. The first-place Privateers, at 66-52, now lead their division by 3 games.

Fabián Beltrán dealt the Trifluviens a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Sherbrooke leading 1-0, Beltrán, who is on pace for 83 RBI this season, hit a first pitch cutter for a run-scoring single.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Hamilton said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
