A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Gatineau Draveurs and Laval Insulaires.

The Gatineau Draveurs beat the Laval Insulaires, 7-1. Gatineau pitcher and Windsor, Canada, native Dennis Stoner led the way. Stoner went the distance for Gatineau. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits.

Trevor Neil hit a 2-run double off Greg McAlister in the top of the first, which put the Draveurs in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Neil had 1 single and 3 walks, while going 2 for 2.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Stoner.
