Late Magic Gets Quebec City 3-2 Win
The Quebec City Dons got a stellar performance from pitcher Tony Peacock, who handcuffed the Trois-Rivieres offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Trois-Rivieres Stadium. Peacock went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 1. His record improves to 11-24. The last-place Dons raised their record to 40-73.

Quebec City used the timely hitting of Ron Gunter to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dons ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Peacock.
