Gatineau Draveurs starter Brad Bloom was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Quebec City Dons, 3-1. In 9 innings, Bloom surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. The last-place Draveurs improved to 51-56.
Gatineau took a 2-1 lead on Jonathan Yuke's 10th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Yuke hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Quebec City pitcher Tony Peacock shaking his head.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Quebec City manager Gerardo Martín. "Obviously."
