In a low-scoring contest, Laval pitcher Sonny Stuckey was marvelous in his team's 2-1 win. Stuckey, now 10-12, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. With the win, Laval raised its record to 48-33.

Gregg Moores, the 31-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Moores contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Laval up, 2-1.
