The extraordinarily popular Aubin got a standing ovation from the hometown crowd as he left the field, the applause continuing until he returned from the dugout to tip his cap to the crowd.

"Trifluviens fans are the best fans, in my opinion," he said. "It's a great feeling to throw a shutout under any circumstances but to do it with the crowd behind you like that is just incredible."

Currently Aubin has a record of 12-11 with 77 strikeouts and 65 walks in 193 innings and a 2.89 ERA.
