Supercalenders Snag 8-6 Win
The Lachute Supercalenders withstood an impressive performance by Trois-Rivieres shortstop Loquillo Robles to defeat the Trifluviens, 8-6, at Trois-Rivieres Stadium. Robles went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Lachute reliever Carter Pattullo got the win, raising his record to 12-10. Rocky Aubin was tagged with the loss. Lachute now sits in second place in the Ligue de Baseball du Québec Division Sud at 28-29.

The result might have been different for Lachute, had it not been for Ken Fitzsimmons. The catcher produced a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Supercalenders ahead, 7-6. For the game, Fitzsimmons had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"They played a better game than we did," said Trois-Rivieres skipper Lloyd Coulter.
