The performance of Ken Fitzsimmons proved critical in helping Lachute beat Thurso, 8-6. The Supercalenders catcher went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Lachute bumps their record to 26-23 with the win.

With Lachute leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Fitzsimmons hit a fastball from Scott Conroy for a 2-run double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Supercalenders ahead, 4-0.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Lachute manager Judson Brereton.
