Pete Field helped his team muscle past the Sherbrooke Privateers, 9-3. In the game, the Thurso shortstop went 3-5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Scott Conroy got credit for the win, improving to 5-5. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 9 innings. The Bucherons improve their record to 13-14 with the win over Sherbrooke.

With Thurso leading 3-1 in the top of the fifth, Field hit a changeup from Stan Dixon for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Bucherons ahead, 5-1.
