Quebec City third baseman Ron Gunter pounded Gatineau Draveurs pitchers at Draveurs Stadium, but it was not enough to keep the Dons from falling, 12-8. Gunter slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. For the Dons, the loss makes their record 6-12.

The Draveurs beat the Dons in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Victoriano Morales produced in the bottom of the seventh. Batting against Eddy, Morales gave his team a 8-6 lead when he hit a 2-run single.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Morales said.
