Supercalenders Squash Privateers, 12-2
|
The Lachute Supercalenders buried the Sherbrooke Privateers, 12-2, under a barrage of hits. Al Lepine led the onslaught, going 3-for-3 for Lachute. The winning pitcher was Carter Pattullo. His record is now 4-2. The right-hander went 9 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits for the Supercalenders. The Supercalenders, now 11-5, have been playing some good baseball.
Carter Pattullo had a big bases-clearing double for the Supercalenders in the top of the eighth inning. With Lachute leading 5-2 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from A.J. Reddin and swatted a double to left. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Supercalenders ahead, 8-2.
"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Sherbrooke manager Víctor Manuel Leija. "We got flat-out beat."
