In a tight contest at Insulaires Field, the Laval Insulaires edged the Thurso Bucherons by the score of 6-5. Laval left fielder Chris Egan, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The win lifts Laval to a record of 6-7.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Egan hit a slider from Scott Conroy for a solo home run. The Insulaires, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"What a buzz," said Egan after it was over.
