The Sudbury Meteors topped the Nipissing Air Marshals, 11-8, in Ontario Baseball Association action at Air Marshals Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Sudbury pitcher George Decoste. The Meteors raised their record to 54-59.

The Meteors got a gift in the top of the fifth inning, when they were leading 8-7. With two out and the bases loaded, Greg Hutchinson reached on an error by the right fielder, driving in 2 run3. It made the score 10-7, Sudbury.

In postgame comments to the Sudbury Observer, Hutchinson said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
