The Sault Ste. Marie Rapids and Sudbury Meteors lit up the scoreboard.

Sudbury first baseman Rob Huston had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Huston went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, even as Sault Ste. Marie beat the Meteors, 10-8. Charlie Stuckless got credit for the win, improving to 12-7. He allowed 7 runs on 10 hits in 8 innings. George Wills earned save number 3 this season.

With no one out in the top of the ninth, Aarón González had a game-changing hit. The Rapids center fielder slammed a 2-run single off Tim Alldritt, making the score 8-7, Sault Ste. Marie.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," González told the Sault Ste. Marie News.

The Rapids improve their record to 35-27 with the win over Sudbury.
