The Pickering Bonebreakers beat the Sault Ste. Marie Rapids, 12-7, at Bonebreakers Field. The win was due in part to first baseman Allen Charron, who went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. The second-place Bonebreakers have a record of 21-19.

Had Troy Behan not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Behan hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Bonebreakers.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Charron told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
