Rapids Suffer 13-1 Drubbing

The Pickering Bonebreakers got production from their entire lineup in an easy 13-1 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Rapids. Doing his part was shortstop Rich Lesage. Lesage, who is tied for 3rd in the OBA in RBI with 29, went 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The Bonebreakers go to 20-18, putting them second in the Ontario Baseball Association Southern Division.
With Pickering leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Lesage hit a run-scoring single off Sault Ste. Marie hurler Garrett Colgan. It was the 55th hit of the season for Lesage and put his team ahead, 3-1.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Lesage told the Pickering Citizen.
