Pickering got a terrific game from right fielder Brian Tait. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Brampton, 10-8. Tait went 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Oscar Burt got credit for the save for Brampton. It was his 1st of the year. The third-place Florists now have a win-loss record of 16-17.

Brampton relied on the hitting of Eulalio Cepeda to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put the Florists on top, 3-0. For the game, Cepeda had 1 triple and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"Winning is the only objective," said Cepeda after the game.
