The home crowd had a good time watching the Markham Wheelwrights and Sault Ste. Marie Rapids get after it.

The Sault Ste. Marie Rapids picked up a win at Rapids Grounds, knocking off the Markham Wheelwrights, 7-2. Starting pitcher John Neaves was a big reason why. Neaves went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 2. His record improves to 5-4.

The tide might have turned in the top of the sixth, had not John Neaves made a big pitch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Wheelwrights trailing 4-1, he retired Jake Scott when the Markham catcher flied out.

The first-place Rapids have won 4 in a row.
