Campeonato Nacional de Cuba Gets Ugly as Pericos Lose Third Straight, 11-3
Riding the 4-hit performance of first baseman Ben Pitchford, the Artemisa Rojos got a road win against the Holguin Pericos, 11-3, in Game 3 of the Campeonato Nacional de Cuba today. Pitchford was 4 for 6 with 2 triples and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Rojos, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 0.

Natalino Campos, the top prospect , had a direct impact on the outcome. Campos contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Artemisa up, 3-1.

"I don't care a whit about getting a sweep," Pitchford said. "The only part of it that matters to me is it means we've got a lot of chances to get that last win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Parque de los Pericos in Holguín.
