The Sherbrooke Privateers topped the Pickering Bonebreakers by the score of 5-2 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the National Championship of Canada today. The largest share of the credit belongs to Sherbrooke starter Jim Schurman, who threw 9.0 innings allowing 2 runs in the win.

Sherbrooke used the clutch hitting of Ricardo López to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Privateers the lead, 5-2. For the game, López had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.

López told a Sherbrooke News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bonebreakers Field in Pickering.
