Olympians Suffer 8-7 Loss to Gila Monsters
The Phoenix Gila Monsters bested the Tempe Olympians, 8-7, at Phoenix Stadium. Josh Worley was one of the standouts. He went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The winner in relief was Stephen Shapiro. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 2-6. The Gila Monsters' win now puts them at 41-79.

Phoenix took a 8-7 lead on Adrian Burger's 16th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Burger hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Tempe pitcher Steve Moore visibly frustrated.
